I have to share with you one of our favorite recipes we have found on Pinterest. They are EASY and Delicious (kids love it too!)
Disclaimer: I didn't take any photos of ours while we were making it, so full credit goes to the original posters. Feel free to check out their websites here and here.
Note: You will need two crockpots for this meal.
Up first are the ribs. OMG these are so good! We cooked ours on low for 7 hours and they were falling off the bone. We put on "keep warm" the last hour, just so we could have the corn ready at the same time.
Here is what you need:
2-3 lbs pork baby back ribs
2.5 cups BBQ sauce
1 small jar (10-12 oz) of cherry jam
1 T Dijon mustard
Salt & Pepper to taste
2-3 lbs pork baby back ribs
2.5 cups BBQ sauce
1 small jar (10-12 oz) of cherry jam
1 T Dijon mustard
Salt & Pepper to taste
Here is what you do:
Cut ribs into 2 portions (trim off any excess fat, if necessary)
Lightly sprinkle salt & pepper on the ribs. Place Ribs in Crock Pot
Combine BBQ sauce, jam & mustard in a bowl.
Pour mixture over ribs
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours
When you try and pick them up, they will literally be falling off the bone. (Like I said, we cooked ours for 7 hours.)
Now on to the corn:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons finely minced fresh parsley
4 to 5 ears of corn, husked
Salt and black pepper, to taste
3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons finely minced fresh parsley
4 to 5 ears of corn, husked
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Thoroughly mix butter, garlic and parsley in small bowl.
- Place each ear of corn on a piece of aluminum foil and generously spread butter on each ear. Season corn with salt and pepper and tightly seal foil.
- Place corn in CROCK-POT® slow cooker; overlap ears,if necessary. Add enough water to come 1/4 of the way up each ear. Cover; cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH 2 to 21/2 hours or until done.
Makes 4 to 5 servings
Like I said, this meal is so easy and so delicious. The beauty is that it takes 10 minutes to prepare and the crockpot does the rest. (And the whole family loves it!)
